The Space shuttle Columbia was the first to come back from space. 20 min after lift of, it travelled with a speed of 17500 mph. It wasn´t easy for the astronauts to work, sleep and eat because in space they had no weight. on the first flight they were worried, because some of the tiles were damaged. the tiles should protect the space shuttle from the heat. When Columbia goes back through the atmosphere, it´ll be 4532°F outside.
2003 an accident happend when Columbia flew through the atmosphere, because some tiles were missing. All seven astonauts were killed. That was the end of NASA´s space shuttle project.
